“Understanding Transgender” and “Skills for Becoming and Effective Trans* Ally”

Saturday, March 8, 9-11:30am and 12:30-4:00pm
at All Saints Church, Syracuse, NY

The morning workshop is for anyone who wants to understand more and be a more informed ally to trans* people, and the afternoon is especially focused on parents and relatives of trans* people who want to build their skills at working for trans* rights.

Trans* Ally Workshop

Sunday, March 9, 4:00-5:30 at the Hudson Valley LGBTQ Community Center, Kingston, NY
Suggested donation $5-$20, no one turned away for lack of funds.

This workshop is for anyone who wants to learn how to be a better ally to trans* individuals and communities – friends, family, community members, and even trans* people who want to be good allies to trans* people who are different from you. We’ll review some trans* basics, but mostly focus on what you can do to support trans* people in your life.

Thursday, March 13, 4:00 pm at Family Traditions in Stone Ridge, NY

Davey will discuss highlights from the new book, Trans* Ally Workbook: Getting Pronouns Right and What It Teaches Us About Gender and signed books will be available.
