What We Do

Think Again Training helps schools, workplaces and communities to

  • develop critical consciousness about issues of oppression and social justice
  • gain skills to enact justice in our work and in our lives
  • engage in informed and compassionate dialogue across differences
  • work together effectively and joyfully

We accomplish this through training and consulting in the form of

  • training series and intensive training retreats
  • policy and problem-solving consultations
  • assessment processes and reports
  • planning and process facilitation for long-term change efforts
  • one-time trainings
  • … and more!

Some areas of special focus include Gender Diversity & Trans Inclusion, Economic Inequality & Classism, Skill Building for Social Justice, and Intersectional Understanding of Diversity and Social Justice.

So how does this work?

We tailor each training opportunity to meet your needs. Take a look at the workshop descriptions – maybe one is exactly what you need! If not, or if you’re not sure what you need, give us a call. We can talk through your goals and design a training to meet them.

Thinking of a more advanced training? We do that, too. We can adapt any of the workshops described here to take it to the next level as a professional development training. Or, if you’re looking for a way to really dive into an issue, consider a training retreat. Over a day or more, we can combine several of the workshops described here, add some activities and content specific to your group’s goals and context, and together create a truly transformative learning experience.

We also offer assessment packages, problem-solving consultation, policy development, and process facilitation, all depending on what will help your group move forward in the process you’re in.

How much does it cost?

The cost of a Think Again event depends on many factors, such as the number of participants, the length of the training, how specifically it is tailored to the particular group/situation, and of course travel expenses.

Think Again is committed to making this work accessible to organizations that need and want it. We can often arrange discounts or find creative ways to fund our work for groups with low budgets. For a specific estimate, contact us and tell us a little about your group, location, and goals.

Where are you located?

Think Again’s main office is in Madison, WI, and we work with affiliated trainers and consultants in Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Illinois. Of course, we’re glad to travel to you for in-person trainings. In some cases we’re able to offer short training sessions electronically, and much of the consulting work can be conducted remotely as well.
